OUSD on the UnyKorn rail — status

Where this stands

NOT DEPLOYED UnyKorn's x402 payment rail does not yet accept OUSD. Support is built and reviewed, and it is not live.

When it goes live, this page will change on the same day and will say so with the date.

REAL Today the rail accepts USDC on Base, Polygon and Solana.

What OUSD is

UNVERIFIED OUSD (Open USD) is a dollar-denominated stablecoin issued by Bridge Building Inc. and governed by the Open Standard consortium, according to the issuer's own site.

We have no relationship with the issuer or with any member of that consortium. Nothing on this page is endorsed by them.

UNVERIFIED Two unrelated things share the name: Pixar's OpenUSD 3D file format, and the older Origin Dollar token that also used the ticker OUSD. Check the contract address, not the name.

REAL The contracts we read on-chain on 2026-11-01: Ethereum 0x9f6F3991D525015a6F8CaF062C83b62fD3AC4436 and Base 0xB2000000000000000000002fEb517dFeC7415344, both with the symbol OUSD and 6 decimals.

REAL Both contracts implement EIP-2612 permit and do not implement EIP-3009 transferWithAuthorization. That is why the rail cannot charge OUSD the way it charges USDC, and uses the x402 Permit2 method instead.

REAL The Ethereum contract carries issuer controls: it can be paused, individual addresses can be blocked and their balance burned, and transfers are subject to an issuer-set policy. The Base contract did not answer those calls when we read it.

We do not describe OUSD's reserves or backing here, because we have not read them ourselves.

What is built

BUILT REVIEWED NOT DEPLOYED On a review branch, the rail treats OUSD on Base as a second settlement asset behind a switch that is off. A lane is quoted only when the settlement provider confirms it understands the payment; a paused token or a blocked receiving address removes the lane; and a payment whose settlement outcome is unknown is never reported as "no funds moved".

TESTED Two independent reviews found no critical issue; their findings were fixed and re-reviewed.

NOT DEPLOYED PLANNED Solana and Ethereum OUSD are present in the registry and disabled. A Tempo lane is planned and not built.

REAL No OUSD payment has settled on this rail.

What is open

Before the switch is turned on: one real OUSD payment settled end to end, the receiving address decision, and acceptance of the issuer's pause and block-list controls as a risk on the lane.
